I missed Easter.

She asked me what I gave up for Lent.
Is giving up church a viable thing...?

Not that any of you minded (or probably cared), but I'm not from the United States and I'm suddenly sorely missing my week off for Carnaval. If you get the chance, be sure you check out the cultural clubs' different displays for the event--I won't be present, as I've got my own celebrations to attend to, namely a large chunk of my family suddenly arriving at my home.
Enjoy your day off, but I want your first Occasional Assignment due to me by email before next week, and that goes for all three of my classes. Meus alunos de literatura português deve responder à pergunta em Português!

First day of classes has passed.
Feb. 9th, 2012 11:09 pmSo far, none of my students are juvenile delinquents, obnoxious, or inherently stupid. I'm considering that a success. Then again, I lectured on Sherlock Holmes the first day. Something everyone likes, sim? At least I think so.
I can't believe another year's passing by. I feel like I'm getting older every time a new class passes through my door.
Now that I think about it, I need a drink.
